To file a claim, you must choose between two types of claim filing processes: Expedited Review (ER) and Individual Review (IR) claims. The Expedited Review option is a much shorter process resulting in a quicker response for payment.The Individual Review option undergoes a more detailed review and the value of the claim is determined by the information provided.
The Individual Review (IR) option must be selected for the following:
Lung Cancer 2 (Disease Level VI)
Foreign Claims
Claims alleging Secondary Exposure.
Expedited Review (ER)
Individual Review (IR)
Shorter process resulting in a quicker response for payment;
Undergoes a more detailed review;
Processed first, in order of first received by the Trust;
Receives individualized evaluation;
Single, fixed payment;
Could result in a higher or lower payment than the Expedited Review;
All Expedited Review claims are evaluated identically;
Processed after Expedited Review claims received on the same date;
All Expedited Review claims of the same disease category receive the same payment amount.
Individual Review payment percentage is re-evaluated annually and could result in a smaller offer than the Expedited Review.
